Of thethreeHDR TV we’veseenrecently , this is believably the most strange . Several hundred photo were taken in black and white , and peck - processed together to create something you could almost see in an e - ink lifelike novel .

Photographer Andy used a Sony a700 DSLR with a Sigma 10 - 20 lens and a black and white ND10 stop filter to get the many hundreds of exposure of the same scene , which were then put through Photomatix to create that HDR look which is so popular today .

To take 70 seconds of video , he unremarkably takes around 700 photos using a Hahnel Giga T wireless remote , which allows him to set up exposures and other change .
depict his post - production method , Andy says :
“ I use Photomatix batch processing to combine 2 shots to produce the HDR , in theory this should n’t work as they are the same exposure and offer no difference of opinion . I alter the HDR mount and run a test shoot through to see what it look like , change preferences to castrate the strength and colouring material of the HDR . Once I ’m well-chosen I permit it run with my microcomputer it can take up to 30mins but can change massively bet on sizing and number of nip .

in the end once all the shots are processed I import them into quicktime using open image sequence , and then export the video with HD character place setting . ”
He ’s shot some amazing HDR photo and video around Wales , but my favorite has to be the one of the road in Cardiff , below . [ AndyathlonviaPhotography Bay ]
