It should n’t come as a vast surprisal , but The Flash and Arrow producer Andrew Kreisberg has confirm that the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster wo n’t be stopping by Gotham City or Metropolis anytime before long .
Just like the Smallville TV serial publication was n’t allowed to incorporate Batman or Wonder Woman , but had full access code to the relief of the DC creation , it appears that the new DC TV universe created by showrunner Greg Berlanti share the same confinement . Here ’s Kreisberg explaining the state of affairs at a recent devotee screening of the Arrow / Flash crossover :

Not that any of WB ’s policy here realize sense . Batman and Superman are not allow to guest star on any of DC ’s show . WB / DC can make shows specifically about Batman and Superman , as long as they are set in a clock time when they are not actively wear their costumes — for example , Smallville and Gotham . However , Arrow is allowed to use Nightwing and his city of Bludhaven , because … I have no freaking clue .
What is the deal ? Why wo n’t WB / DC allow Batman and Superman right come to TV ? Are Batman 1966 and The Adventures of Lois & Clark really going to be the greatest live - activity television adaptation of DC ’s two sterling sub ? Are Mr. Mxyzptlk and Bat - Mite behind this somehow ?
