The heart of the matter — that Rob hints at — why Consumer Reports can tell you what vacuum cleaner or washing car to bribe with unrivaled authority , but apparently knows approximately dick about smartphones , is that they do n’t get software . And imagine what ? We ’ve attain a tipping point where software package is the most important part of a earphone . Hardware is commoditized — record the specification sheet for any current smartphone , they ’ve all start out just about the same crap inside . It ’s all about software now , and it ’s going to go further in that management . Why do you call back everyone ’s pushing their own platform and app computer memory , anyway ?
