Although created for the classical enliven series Batman Beyond , Terry McGinnis has work his room into the comic books for the past few class . But it looks like for the first prison term in the character ’s history , Terry may be ceding the function as the succeeding Batman , with another quality taking on the mantlepiece .

Although Batman Beyond as a character has live for a decade and a half at this point , this would denounce the first ever time that someone other than Terry will be in the function on a veritable basis , a pretty major shake - up for the character . And considering there ’ll be a new Batman Beyond ongoing comic beginning in a few month , coiffure in the future of the main DC universe ( another first for the character ) . The preview text seems to make it pretty clean that Tim will be in the part going fore :
At last , Batman Beyond gets his own ongoing series in THE classic hereafter of the DCU ! But this is n’t the Beyond you think you know ! With the Justice League missing and without Bruce to lead him , this new Batman will need to explore this bizarre earthly concern on his own while fighting to elevate humanity from an opponent that ’s already won .
The heroes Batman know have failed , the world he bang has been turned on its head , and every step he take will lead him either toward finding home – or further down the road of disaster !
So after many years of animated and laughable book service , it look like Terry McGinnis is no more .
At least until he ’s finally brought back , that is . You know how it is .
