Elysium‘s Matt Damon on the joys of gluing gadgets to your skull

Was the exoskeleton as massively uncomfortable as it seem ?

Matt Damon : No in reality , when I first see the pictures of it , Neill had created this graphical novel on his data processor and fabricate this whole exoskeleton thing , I seem at it and die “ this is going to be a incubus . ” I did n’t say anything , but I ’ve done 50 movies at this point . I took one look at that matter and think it would be really rough . But they made it really comfortable . I mean I think as comfortable as they could . The only thing was I was in the chair every day for about two and a half hours getting quick because they had so much stuff to put on . And so much detail work around the thing in my head and all the scars and origin . So that was it just call for a fiddling forbearance . But the suit itself , was kind of awing .

Yeah , yeah so they would plane my head all the direction down with a straight razor . And then just glue the thing on . And then they would have to do all the item play around it . I know in District 9 some of those scenes were impromptu . Is that something that you ran through a lot . Are there a bunch of issue at the probation situation that we did n’t get to see ?

Yeah Neill is always concerned in improv - ing , and he bourgeon in a way that permit for that . And then in the edit , he can kind of dial up or dial down the mood . And then you have someone like Sharlto , who is just incompetent to doing the same thing doubly in a row . Which is what makes him so fun to see as an actor .
