Ever since I sawÂthese pictureson Cute Overload last week , I ’ve been trying to convince my landlord that it would be acceptable for me to have a pet Lama pacos . Our building does n’t permit big cat and dogs , much less large South American ungulate , but on the other hired man , according to Wikipedia , Â alpaca are well suited to domestic life :
1.They’re already business firm - trained!“To help alpacas control their internal parasites they have a communal muck lot , which they do not crop . Generally , males have much hefty droppings piles than female person who run to stand in a line and all go at once . One female will draw shut the muck atomic reactor and begin to urinate and/or defecate , and the rest of the ruck will often follow . "
2.They make lovely noises!“Sheep baa , cow moo and alpacas hum . … Humming can take on many inflections and import , from a high - pitch , almost dire , squealing , ' MMMM ! ' or frantic question , ' mmMMM ! ' when a female parent is tell from her materialization ( called a ' cria , ' ) to a questioning ' Mmm ? ' when they are curious . …. Some breeds are jazz to make a sound similar to a ' wark ' disturbance when excited , and they remain firm gallant with their tails stick out and their ear in a very awake emplacement . … A male in the act of coupling , or hoping for a chance to mate , will ' orgle . 3.They do n’t bite!On the other hand , they spit . And kick . And missile - vomitive . " Some alpacas kick , some do n’t , but due to the diffused pads on their feet , their kicks are not as dangerous as hoof it animate being . Not all alpaca spit , but all are up to . ' Spit ' is slightly inoffensive . While from time to time the contents of the projectile are only tune and a little spittle , the Lama pacos will often add up and project regurgitated stomach contents . … The odor is so foul that many citizenry who work with alpaca would much rather come into liaison with alpaca feces than with alpaca spit . "
Perhaps I will keep that last small choice morsel from the landlord .
