After all , I ’m hearing in the main from teachers who , despite their foiling and misgivings , are impressively standing up to the pressure , withstanding the shrink attacks and attempts to compromise the integrity of their science education . Rather , I ’m apprehensive about teachers , and aspiring teachers , I ’m not listen from — those who see such attacks , think their life context ( their family , their job security , etc . ) , and question whether they , too , could handle such attacks .

Many people conclude that they could not — and that is when science education lose , as skill teachers leave the playing field or avoid socially , but not scientifically , controversial issue like phylogeny or climate alteration in rules of order to remain under the ideological radar .
Thus , both scientists and scientific discipline teachers are facing similar challenges .
