Hoax ? Forest ? Hmmmm . Deadlineconfirms Castle Rock will be another “ limited series ” for Hulu in the vena of 11.22.63 , this time ground on King ’s short stories , and add that it will be written and administrator produce by Sam Shaw ( Manhattan ) .
The Hollywood Reporterfurther tot up that the show will follow an anthology format , and “ will meander together character and themes from those novel that use the Castle Rock fix . ” Subsequent season would then follow a unlike set of characters and storylines , but would also link back to seasons that came before .

We do n’t know much else about what to await ( or when ) , but this enigmatic teaser offer a solid reminder of how much of King ’s committal to writing has become a huge part of pop culture — not just in the horror writing style .
Castle Rock , of course , is the fictitious Ithiel Town in Maine that ’s been a part of King - ology since 1979 ’s The Dead Zone ; it ’s where lick like Cujo and Needful Things take position , and is advert in passing even more frequently , as in the King brusk - account adaption that became Stand by Me . And , obviously , it ’s in the same geographical region as places like Derry , where the sewer are home to It ’s Pennywise .
The musical note of this Castle Rock teaser surely propose something spooky will follow . We ’ll be keeping a close eye out for more to come from Abrams and company .
