Jennifer Hudsonis all loved up.

During an appearance on Tuesday’sJimmy Kimmel Live!,Hudson was asked about her andCommonseeminglygoing publicwith their relationship on her talk show last month. On theJennifer Hudson Show, both Hudson, 42, and Common, 51, described who they were dating without revealing any names.

AsKimmel, 56, pointed out viewers eventually realized they were talking about each other, Hudson joked on his show, “Is that what you gathered because I thought he was datingWhoopi Goldberg?” after the rapper mentioned his girlfriend was anEGOT winner.

Kimmel then questioned whether Hudson found it hard to interview guests likeCommonbecause she knew him so well. “I find it more difficult to interview someone I’m a huge fan of. Which is most of my guests, but that’s when I freak out the most,” she responded.

“I like people that I’m more familiar with because it’s more like a conversation,” the musician added.

As Kimmel insisted Hudson must have already known which part of Chicagoher fellow Chicagoanwas from when she asked him that on her show, she responded, “He thinks he’s from the South Side. I’m from the South Side, he’s from the East Side. It’s a Chicago thing.”

The couplefirst sparked dating rumors in 2022 when they worked together on their upcoming filmBreathe,in which Hudson stars as Maya and Common plays Darius.

After confirming their romance, Common appeared onToday with Hoda & Jennalast month to talk about his new book,And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Yourself, when the discussionturned to marriage.

“I feel like I have grown and the work that I’ve done on myself has allowed me to see that I am a marrying type,” Common toldHoda Kotbafter she asked whether Hudson could “be the one.”

He said that he’s “capable” of marrying someone, and that “at some point in my life, I may want to do that,” but he’ll “know when the right time is." The musician insisted, “I would communicate with that person, and if she’s feeling that, then why not?”
