A Louisiana woman is facing multiple charges after police say that she stole a pickup truck before abandoning it with the owner’s dog still inside. Tragically, the Labrador Weimaraner mix named Roleaux did not survive and his owner was also left seriously injured after desperately running after the truck to try to save his beloved pet. According to East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Leslie Aguillard, 30, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, carjacking, theft of animals, cruelty to animals and simple criminal damage to property....

The 31-year-old woman and her 33-year-old husband were hiking in the Narrows area of the park, and had started their 16-mile “top-down” hike Tuesday when they set up camp that night. “The man reported they became dangerously cold overnight and experienced symptoms consistent with hypothermia,“according to a statementfrom Zion National Park....

Jesse Kozechen, 29, died on Highway 199 just outside of Salem, Oregon, around 10:30 a.m. local time Monday.
