The Duke of Sussex’s legal team has previously stated that he “does not feel safe” bringing his two children — sonPrince Archie, 4, andPrincess Lilibet, 2 — to the U.K.
“Of course, it should go without saying that he wants to come back: to see family and friends and to continue to support the charities that are so close to his heart,” his lawyer Shaheed Fatimasaidin 2022 at the Royal Courts of Justice.“Most of all, this is, and always will be, his home.”

Concerns have also been voiced in the U.S. In May 2023, Prince Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE that they were involved in a “near catastrophic car chaseat the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi” in New York City following an event.
“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety,” the couple’s spokesperson added.
