The 2019SAG Awardsare coming up on Sunday, so we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the star-studded night.

What are the SAG Awards?

The 25th annual televised awards will honor the best achievements in film and television performances for the year 2018. TheSAG Awardsare a peer honor, with actors voting on who wins.

The show will present 15 awards total, including individual as well ensemble and cast performances.

How can I tune in?

The show will air live from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on both TBS and TNT starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Who’s hosting?

Will & Gracestar (and four-time SAG winner!)Megan Mullallywillassume hosting dutiesthis year, following in the footsteps ofKristen Bell, who was the show’s first-ever host in 2018.

Who are the nominees?

A Star Is Bornonce again racked up nominations and led with four, withBradley Cooper,Lady Gagaand Sam Elliott receiving nominations in the acting categories.

What are some of the snubs and surprises?

Most notable isRegina King, favored to be a frontrunner for the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance inIf Beale Street Could Talk. She was shut out of the equivalent race at theSAG Awards. Her acclaimed film, fromMoonlightdirector Barry Jenkins, didn’t receive a single nomination.

Her category was full of shockers, includingMargot Robbiefor her role asQueen ElizabethinMary Queen of Scots, which hadn’t received much awards love up until now.

A lot of actors from the same shows and movies will find themselves competing against each other thanks to some unexpected nominations. Battles include surprise nominee Julia Garner facing off against herOzarkcostarLaura Linneyin the best actress for a drama series category;Grace and Frankie‘sJane FondaandLily Tomlingoing head-to-head in the comedy equivalent; Weisz against Stone forThe Favourite;The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein; andSharp Objects‘ Adams vs. Patricia Clarkson.

One the biggest shocks, no doubt, isBohemian Rhapsodybeating outThe Favouritein the best ensemble category, despiteThe Favouritescoring three nominations for its cast.

AndA Star Is Born‘sBradley Cooperwas snubbed in the best director category.
